Weekley defend his title at Verizon Heritage

HILTON ISLAND, S.C. – The American defending champion, Boo Weekley became this Sunday the winner at the Verizon Heritage, after a final round 71 to be at 15 under par for a total of 269 strokes. He carded five birdies and bogeys at the Harbour Town Golf Links. "It was a little easier to win, what is not?" Said Weekely, who won his second victory in the PGA Tour and a prize of $990 thousand. 
 
With three more strokes finished tied Australian Aaron Baddeley (69) and the American Anthony Kim (71) at 12 under par 272. Jim Furyk ended alone at fourth spot at 11 under p[ar 273, while Cliff Kresge shot one more stroke at ten under par.
The next PGA Tour will be held from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 tournament number 18 on the season, the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, where Scott Verplank will defend the title in Irvin, Texas.
