How To Take Care Of Your Golf Kits
How To Take Care Of Your Golf Kits
01-22-2009

Your passion for golf should not be restricted to the playing of the game alone - you must know how to maintain your golf supplies when you are not playing golf. In fact, I feel that maintenance of the equipments is the true test for your love for the game. More so, since the golf kits tend to be expensive and sophisticated and keeping them functional ensures that you get to use them for long. But this is easier said than done and I have seen even the professional golf managers having a tough time keeping various golf accessories in shape.

Proper lubrication, cleaning and electrical testing are the few basic steps you can take on a regular basis. I would suggest that after you have finished a game, be mindful about the condition of the grooves and remove all dirt and mud meticulously from your club heads using a soft towel. You may also wash your club heads and wipe them with a damp cloth. Make sure that they are completely dry before you put them back in your golf bag to avoid rusting.

The dirt on the chamois and club grips can be more stubborn and you would do best to dip a cloth in soap water before using it for cleaning. The alternate of doing this is to fill your bathtub with warm water to which you can add soap or shampoo and soak your clubs in it. Find an old toothbrush and gently scrub the grooves. If you are not satisfied with the results of such home care, I think you should buy a Golf Club Cleaning Kit that has plastic tools for handling the cleaning job better.

You must also look out for the disappearing dimples and lines from your golf grooves as this suggests that the kits are worn out and need to be replaced. Get a professional to do the grip replacement job for you to ensure well-fitting grips. Otherwise, you can follow the manuals of a club re-gripping package and do it on your own.

However, if you find the performance of your engine of your golf cart undergoing serious problems, you have to opt for a rebuild kit for re-powering it. This is the best solution for reducing the extravagant cost needed for replacing golf carts. Briggs Stratton, Cushman, Kohler and Honda are some of the leading manufacturers for small engine rebuilding kits, suitable to fulfill all your power needs and running on a variety of fuels.
